We are proud that this year’s final meets the criteria of the Austrian Ecolabel for Green Events!
How does that work in practice?
The Austrian Ecolabel for Green Events is only awarded to events that meet a comprehensive set of strict ecological and social standards.
At the RING AWARD 25, we pay attention to:
- Resource conservation: This includes, for example, the use of reusable tableware, minimizing printed materials, and relying exclusively on certified paper.
- Waste prevention and proper waste separation
- Energy efficiency: All venues of the Bühnen Graz use electricity from renewable sources and energy-saving LED lighting throughout their buildings.
- Eco-friendly travel: Thanks to the excellent public transport connections of the centrally located Schauspielhaus Graz, we actively encourage environmentally friendly travel to and from the venue.
- Regional partnerships: We strengthen the local economy by collaborating with selected businesses in Graz, focusing on regional, seasonal, and fairly produced (organic) food products.
- Accessibility and social responsibility: The venues of Bühnen Graz are barrier-free, ensuring an inclusive and accessible experience for all guests.

Emerging artists shape the music theatre of tomorrow. That’s why it is essential to raise awareness of sustainable production practices early on.
Especially in the cultural sector, where visions come to life and new perspectives are explored, it’s not just about the outcome, but also about the path taken.
