Often referred to as the “first opera”, the “Favola in musica” was premiered in 1607 and is still part of the core repertoire of music theatre today. The myth of the artist Orpheus, who touches animate and inanimate nature with his song and enters the underworld out of love for Eurydice, has inspired us since ancient times. We are looking forward to the new interpretations by the RING AWARD teams!
