SEMIFINAL for teams January 16-18, 2025 at NEXT LIBERTY
The semifinal teams are expected to submit a production concept for the complete competiton opera L’ORFEO by Claudio Monteverdi as well as a set design model for the part that will be realized in the final (scale1: 25). A practice rehearsal and the feasibility test of the set and costume design will provide the jury with information on background and technical skills. The production concepts are presented to the RING AWARD jury at an audience event (max. 20 minutes per team). The jury nominates three teams for the final.
A Dramaturgy Prize, an Audience Prize and the Prize of the Honorary President will be awarded at the semifinal.

We aim to organise the event in accordance with the criteria of the Austrian Ecolabel for Green Events. The RING AWARD puts great importance to sustainability and would like to encourage the use of environmentally friendly means of transport such as train, bus or bicycle.
